In middle school, one of my teachers told me that reading was the best way to become a better writer. Since then, I’ve finished every reading list I’ve ever been handed. When I was little, my parents used to take my books away as punishment.
There are currently 783 books in my Kindle library, and my reading streak is 1674 days long (as of 11/14/23). That’s 55 months. I’ve read at least one page of a book every day for four and a half years. From The Help to Harry Potter to The Unbearable Lightness of Being I’d like to think I’ve lived many different lives through the pages of quite a few books.
I can’t stop reading, and I can’t stop writing. I can’t imagine a day when words won’t be the most exciting and delightful puzzle pieces I’ve ever played with.
See below to check out some words I've written over the years.
